Firstly, a little something about Double the Slice!
'Double the Slice' is basically me, a home baker and mother of two with a passion for creating show stopper cakes. With the close help and support of my husband and my chief 4 year old taster, we have built a professional home baking business with a personal touch. We offer a delicious variety that ranges from traditional sponges to bespoke fondant bakes, all worthy to be the centre piece of any occasion. We also offer an afternoon tea package which includes both vintage crockery and tasty treats.
We are fully qualified in both food safety and allergen awareness training which helps us uphold the highest of standards. We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Three layers of light, sweet, carrot packed sponge warmed with cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. Layered and coated in a creamy vanilla rich buttercream, decorated with a dusting of coco powder, carrot twirls and white flowers.

Zesty Lemon and Poppy Seed Cake
Three layers of zesty lemon and poppy seed sponge, sandwiched and coated with lashings of zingy lemon curd and rich lemon buttercream, finished with decorative piping and a sprinkle of poppy seeds.

Traditional Victoria Sponge
Three layers of light vanilla sponge, sandwiched and coated with lashings of sweet strawberry jam and creamy vanilla buttercream, finished with decorative piping and fresh strawberries.

Three layers of light coffee flavoured sponge, stacked and dressed with a sweet caramel sauce and a smooth coffee buttercream, finished with caramel sauce, white chocolate stars and a hint of milk chocolate

All bespoke cakes are ordered via consultation. Please message me via email or WhatsApp with your ideas and the date you require your cake. Based on your requirements the cake will be priced, and discussed with you. Payment will be required in full to secure your booking.
